OFFICIAL RAFFLE RULES & GUIDELINES
WEST VOLUSIA REALTORS FOUNDATION (“WVRF”)
1. Entry: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. PURCHASE DOES NOT IMPROVE CHANCE OF WINNING. CHANCE OF WINNING DEPENDS ON TOTAL NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE ENTRIES. Enter by purchasing 1 $10.00 raffle ticket or 3 tickets for $20.00 from selected WVRA representatives. No limit to the number of entries per person or entity. Raffle begins February 23rd at 12:01 am EST and ends on June 10, 2022 at 7:59:00 pm EST (“Raffle Period”). The drawing of the winning ticket will begin at 8:00:00 pm EST.
2. Eligibility: ONLY U.S. AND CANADIAN RESIDENTS WHO ARE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER ARE ELIGIBLE TO ENTER THIS RAFFLE.
3. Winner Selection: The prize winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the Raffle Period. A random drawing involves the random drawing of one single ticket to determine the winner. WINNER NEED NOT BE PRESENT TO WIN. The winner identified by name, address, telephone number, and email address, on the winning ticket will be notified by phone, email, or hard copy letter to the address if provided. The winner’s name will also be posted on the WVRF website and Facebook page no later than three (3) days after the drawing takes place. The prize must be accepted “as is” – no substitution or transfer of a prize is permitted. If a prize winner cannot be contacted within ten (10) days after the drawing, or is disqualified for any reason, WVRF reserves the right to award the prize to a second to ticket drawn as the alternate prize winner should the first ticket draw remain unclaimed or be ineligible. Any attempt to modify the raffle ticket to gain an advantage will deem the ticket invalid and the individual ineligible for the prize.
4. Prize: The prize offered will be a one-time prize of a wheel barrel containing bottles of alcoholic beverages with a value of around $500.00. Monetary proceeds of the raffle will go to the West Volusia REALTORS Foundation a 501c3 non-profit charity in the State of Florida.
5. General Conditions: VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. The laws of the United States govern this raffle. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. This raffle is not to be used in connection with any form of gambling. The prize winner is solely responsible for payment and remittance of all state and federal income taxes and all other fees and surcharges of whatever kind applicable to his or her prize. Notwithstanding the foregoing, WVRF will issue the winner a W9, 1099, or other similar tax withholding document, pursuant to advice from WVRF’s accountant and the winner unconditionally agrees to accept same and cooperate in all respects with appropriate tax reporting procedures. Except where legally prohibited, the prize winner grants permission for WVRF and its advertising and promotional agencies, including the West Volusia Association of REALTORS, its board, volunteers and staff, and those acting under the authority thereof, the right to use the prize winner’s name and/or likeness in perpetuity for advertising and/or promotional purposes in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide and on the world wide web, without notice, review, approval, or additional compensation. Delivery and use of the prize is subject to the prize winner’s completion of all documentation required by law or otherwise required by WVRF. By entering this raffle and/or using any prize, entrant agrees: (1) to release WVRF, their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliates and their respective shareholders, officers, directors, employees, members, agents and assigns from liability of any kind or nature for any loss, claims, damages, or injuries of any kind associated with participation in this raffle or with acceptance and use of any prize; (2) to receive phone, email and mail solicitation from WVRF, even if otherwise listed on a do-not-call list or other similar list; and (3) to be bound by these rules and any decisions of WVRF relating to participation in the raffle, selection of winners and awarding of prizes, whose decisions are final. Persons who violate any rule, gain unfair advantage in participating in the raffle, or obtain winner status using fraudulent means will be disqualified. If the conduct or outcome of the raffle is affected by human error, any mechanical malfunctions or failures of any kind, intentional interference or any event beyond the control of WVRF; WVRF reserves the exclusive right to terminate the raffle, or make such other decisions regarding the outcome as deemed appropriate. All ticket sales final, no refunds unless ineligible for raffle due to age or residency status.
